Personally, I like the idea of playing through a full season with my created 32nd NHL franchise and test my skills before jumping into the online and competitive play, but others may choose solely to purchase NHL 19 for that very aspect. It may look overly complicated on the surface, especially with the menu screen clutter, but these varying game modes offer something for everybody. For most seasoned players, they already know what they are getting out of the box and the new features that are introduced, but for me, this was a completely different experience and I was left completely dumbfounded how much the virtual rink has grown over the years and coming back to it now is a true treat.įrom the get-go, you are thrown in a multitude of different game modes that vary from single-player experiences such as the traditional Franchise Mode and Career Mode to the more competitive CHEL, Ones and Threes.

That is, up until now when I decided to finally go and grab a copy of NHL 19. I’ve been in love with the sport for all of my life, however, I somehow managed to miss every video game entry in the last decade with my last NHL experience being NHL2K10.
